Lukas Dahlén : Weave

Le coffre "Weave" du designer suédois Lukas Dahlén vient d'être présenté au Salon Del Mobile de Milan 2012. Réalisé en frêne, il se compose de fines lamelles de bois ondulant dans une structure en

 bois de frêne pour former sa façade et ses cotés.









Sur ce projet, Lukas Dahlén précise:

"Sheet metal have the same characteristics as paper when it comes to fInspired by the most common kind of wood and weed weaving the Weave cupboard represents an enlarged version of the technique of weaving something soft around a more stable structure. The top and bottom plane of the cupboard is held together by sticks kept together like a Windsor chair. Four of the sticks continue down to become legs and two are used as hinges. The weave covers the insides and serves as decoration"
