Alexandre Pain : Dock Imaginé et fabriqué par le designer Alexandre Pain "Dock" est un meuble d'appoint en bois. Réalisé sans colle, vis, quincaillerie ou assemblages complexes, il est suspendu à de fins élastiques, s'inspirant des bateaux suspendus en cale sèche. "D’une technique de production simple, l’ensemble est maintenu grâce aux élastiques qui permettent de cintrer les pieds avec le poids du corps, l’ajustement très précis entre ceux-ci permet de supprimer l’utilisation de colle, chevilles, vis. Les opérations de montage et démontage peuvent ainsi être répétées sans nuire à la qualité du produit." souligne Alexandre Pain. Sur ce projet, Alexandre Pain précise également : "Dock is the result of a reflection on the themes of simplicity, lightness and economy of means. How can we remove the glue, screws, all kinds of furniture hardware and assemblies that increase both environmental impact and costs of a product? It seemed interesting to me that the assembly elements would be the heart of the achievement. To do this, I decided to design a small furniture inspired by the boats suspended in dry dock. In a simple manufacturing technique, the set is maintained by the elastic that fix the feet with the weight of the body, very precise adjustment between them eliminates the use of glue, dowels, screws.
