Licht Im Raum présente White Moons, une collection de luminaires en porcelaine imaginée par Daniel Klages et réalisée en collaboration avec la manufacture de Fürstenberg.

"Architects and planners sometimes wish for an eye catcher to create interiors by every trick in the book. White Moons puts itself forward for that task just perfectly because the luminaire succeeds in producing a highly poetical image. Like a piece of art it can be hung on the wall " Licht Im Raum

MUUUZ In a few words, how would you define the White Moons collection ?

Daniel Klages White Moons collection is a perfect tool for architects and planners, who some-times look for an eye catcher to create interiors by every trick in the book. White Moons puts itself forward for that task just perfectly because the luminaire succeeds in producing a highly poetical image. Like a piece of art it can be hung on the wall or from the ceiling - unique in its radiance and manifoldly configurable. Due to the porcelain ball with two asymmetrical openings, which can be adjusted and which allows non-glare direct and indirect lighting, the elements create a veritable light show of function, art and poetry.

MUUUZ What needs does a light must satisfy and what is its main duty?

D. K. Light must create moods and be suitable to put the architecture of the space in scene. Light never should be bothersome. It should be glare-free and economical.

MUUUZ White Moons feature a unique and modular design. What were your main sources of in-spiration?

D. K. The inspiration for lighting collection White Moons caused by the preoccupation with the material "porcelain". With the porcelain balls, the most different murals can be created that get their power from the two asymmetrical openings. Light gets so magical effect.

MUUUZ What is the place where you dream of settling a White Moons lamp?

D. K. Our dream is to make a special White Moons wall lights design with up to 36 porcelain balls (6 x 6), handmade in our own factory, for the foyer of the Centre Pompidou building. And for 2020: a special White Moons-design for the "Sky Bar" at "Tour Triangle".

La collection White Moons est lauréate des MIAW 2016 dans la catégorie Eclairage / Collection
