Atelier Kastelic Buffey : Maison Glissade Kelly Buffet et Robert Kastelic de l'Atelier Kastelic Buffey ont construit la "Maison Glissade", un chalet à Blue Montain, au nord ouest de Toronto.S'inspirant de la forme des granges, ce volume bardé de bois et percé de grandes baies vitrées est conçu pour accueillir une famille de 5 personnes. L'intérieur tranche avec les chalets traditionnels, pas de poutre apparente ni de bois, mais de grands espaces lumineux et ouverts.Sur ce projet, l'Atelier Kastelic Buffey précise :"Set on a narrow lot in a private ski club development, this house is conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditionnal chalet. Its form retains the convention of a gable roof yet is reduced to an elegant tow storey volume in which the top floor slides forward, engaging an adjacent ski hill on axis with the chalet. The cantilever of the upper volume embodies a kinetic energy likened to that of a leading ski or a skier propelled in a forward trajectory.
