Vitor Vilhena Architects : Villa à Odemira

Près d'Odemira dans le sud du Portugal, l'agence Vitor Vilhena Architects a réalisé cette maison de béton blanc nichée au coeur de la nature.

L'enjeu architectural était de minimiser l'impact de cette construction sur le paysage, ainsi, elle étend son volume immaculé en suivant la pente du terrain, pour ne jamais s'imposer dans le panorama. Sa structure en L présente plusieurs avantages, en plus de jouir d'une exposition maximale au soleil, les parties privées du jardin ouvert se dérobent aux regards dans l'angle de la maison.

Sur ce projet, l'agence Vitor Vilhena précise:

"The plot of land is part of the "Estate of Arrifóias" which provides for the development of housing to reconcile the needs of newer home with the landscape and heritage value of the site.

The proposed project is in line with this concept, presents a strong relationship with the land on which it operates, focusing on situations and contemplation of the landscape in terms of volumetric watching the natural topography.

The location of the house on the plot focuses on the relationship with the views of the surrounding system. This concern is reflected in the form of construction. It is proposed to develop the program in two volumes that relate to L, this volumetric solution maximizes sun exposure in South and corresponds to a programmatic differentiation between public and private areas."
